A lot of information to share, of which I will share some below. But, before we get into that, we want to let you know we're forced to set back the Alpha release date. As the last couple of months have been a rollercoaster in our personal lives, the incoming months won't be any different. We're still investing a lot of our free time, but we're simply tied to the little free time we have at the moment. We want to assure you this game is going to be made, it just needs a little more time than we expected. Also the feedback we've received so far has made us realize we have to make some changes and rethink the plans we've already made. To be honest, only good things have come from this, so we're very positive about it. We really appreciate the support we've gotten and also the donations are going to help us get this thing up and running when we reach the Alpha phase. Thank you all and bear with us!
As promised, I would make a post about the new Rare Item(upgrade) system we're planning to implement. Besides showing the upgrade system and how Rare Items are going to be affected, I want to show you how serious we are about really making this game worth playing. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment or make a post on our forums!
Rare Items:
Can be obtained through:
Can be altered through: NPC: Researcher Menu:
Shop
Disenchant This is a new feature. When you no longer need a Rare Item, because you have found a better one, or you already have a better one, you can disenchant it through the Researcher. To do this, the following items are required:
When disenchanting a Rare Item you will obtain a Rare Fabric Lv. 1 ~15(varies). The Rare Item level will determine what level Rare Fabric you will get:
Upgrade As the gap between Rares and Unique's/Sunsets in Redmoon1 is too big, we decided to add a feature to upgrade Rare Items. Upgrading requires the following items:
Results:
The success chance decreases as the item grade increases. On higher grades it is recommended to use higher level Rare Fabric to increase the success chance. All material items, fabric and powder, are destroyed when upgrading.
Example For an E-vend Armor with a base of 60.000 defense:
Of course, when the base stat is higher, the bonus increases. An A-vend Armor can get up to 127.500 defense at grade 9. The same goes for weapons, a higher grade weapon will receive more bonus damage compared to its inferior form.
More new things that involve Rare Items:
So you have to push back your schedule...no complaints from this guy. It's been out almost 20 years, so who cares about a few more months! I'll keep looking at this site at least a couple times a week no matter what. This post makes me super excited about playing again.
If only you knew how much more information is ahead of you, you'd probably go insane. ;-) Seriously though, good question about the Rare Jewelry. We aren't 100% sure about this yet, but it is going to be something like gaining extra damage when upgrading jewelry. Although, this has to be tested thoroughly, because mages might benefit a lot already from the defense bonus on upgrading their armor.
Well, at any rate, I know my Kit won't need an S4 Measure in order to be relevant in RM 2.0! You guys are breathing so much life into this game with these changes.
Can't wait! Love the updates!
Anything new?
Love this update!! Don't really have much input or questions right now but definitely showing some support! Keep it up guys!

Wow! Very Indepth and packed with info! love it. Sorry i know this is an info post, and youre not posting everything, just curious- How will Casters be effected by this? Will Jewelry be able to upgrade as well? Is it *ALL Rares we know of ? including Necklaces that can be *upgraded? Just wondering because Jewelry is main focus for Casting Damage.
