Upgrading

On this page you will find information about the steps to upgrade an item and get upgrade materials!

Upgrade Cores

Basic information, an upgrade core:

  • can be used for upgrading items;
  • has an item level;
  • can be obtained by killing monsters (see droplist);
  • can be obtained by destroying items;


Destroying items


Insert breakable item


Verify that an item is breakable
You can destroy items to obtain upgrade cores!

  • Go to a scientist (Downtown1 / Street1) or Kashams hideout;
  • Select the "Destroy item for an Upgrade Core" option;
  • Enter a breakable item (for example a green or purple rare);
  • Verify if the output is desired and take note that the inserted item will disappear;
  • Press "OK" to destroy the inserted item and receive an Upgrade Core;
  • The output Upgrade Core item level is either the inserted item level +0, +5 or +10;
There is a "item level / 10000" % chance to receive a transmuter when destroying an item;
Destroying item level 700+ items, will result in extra Sun Ston(s);

Level up / combine cores


Insert 2 cores to combine
You can combine cores to increase their Item Level!

  • Go to a scientist (Downtown1 / Street1) or Kashams hideout;
  • Select the "Combine Upgrade Cores" option;
  • Insert 2 cores of the same level;
  • Verify if the output is desired and take note that the inserted item will disappear;
  • Press "OK" to combine the cores and receive a higher level core;
  • The output is ONE Upgrade Core with item level +10

Verify that an item is upgradeble


Upgrade transmuter
You can prepare your equipment for upgrade by using a transmuter on your items!

  • REQUIRES AN UPGRADE TRANSMUTER IN YOUR INVENTORY;
  • Go to a scientist (Downtown1 / Street1) or Kashams hideout;
  • Select the "Prepare item for upgrade" option;
  • Insert an upgradeable item;
  • Verify if the output is desired and take note that a transmuter will be consumed;
  • Press "OK" to transmute the inserted item;
  • The inserted item will now be +0 and ready for upgrade;
Items with for example +0 or +1... cannot be transmuted

Insert a transmuted/upgradable item
STEP 1: Open the upgrade window and insert the upgradeable item

  • REQUIRES AN ITEM THAT IS TRANSMUTED (+0 or higher) - SEE PREVIOUS STEP;
  • Go to a scientist (Downtown1 / Street1) or Kashams hideout;
  • Select the "Upgrade an item" option;
  • Insert an transmuted/upgradeable item;

STEP 2: Insert an upgrade core

  • REQUIRES AN UPGRADE CORE HIGHER THAN THE INSERT ITEM LEVEL;
  • Insert an Upgrade Core;
  • Verify that you have enough experience;
  • Verify if the possible outputs are desired and take note that the Upgrade Core will be consumed;
  • Optionally enter an Upgrade Enhancer in step 3;
  • Press "OK" to upgrade the inserted item;
RESULT
  • +1 = Item upgrade +1
  • +0 = Item stays at current upgrade level
  • -1 = Item upgrade +1
  • Break transmute = Upgrade level resets back to 0, 3 or 6 depending on upgrade level and transmute option will be removed (requires the Transmuter to be upgradeable again)
Failing to upgrade an item will give you Upgrade Points (account bind). With Upgrade Points your chance of failing and upgrade will reduce. When succesfully upgrading an item, some or all Upgrade Points may be consumed!

  • Insert an Upgrade Enhancer to increase the succes chance;
  • Check Step 2 for the result;

Miscellaneous

Extra information:

  • Experience required is based on: The item level / 4 (what a normal player requires on that level) * the experience decay a player vs. item level is experiencing;
  • With each upgrade the item level will increase with +10;
  • Rings have different upgrade stats, depending on which equipment slot you inserted the ring;
  • The Upgrade Core level matters when upgrading. For each +5 levels you gain 1% extra succes chance up to a maximum of 5%;
  • Max upgrade level is 9;
