Hello there Redmoon(2) community,

This is our first 'development blog' and we will have many more while we are developing Redmoon2! With these blogs we want to inform you about the status of the game and in which direction Redmoon2 is going.

In the upcoming days the 'Basic Stats' item in the project page will be finished. In the video below you can see what has been developed the last 1-2 weeks. In the video you can see the following:

  • HP/MP being decreased and Exp being increased by the server (as a test)
  • HP Gauge above the character
  • F1 stats being drawn and updated
  • F2 stats being drawn and updated
  • Bonus points can be divided
  • Screenshot feature
  • Save players data in the database

A lot of code has been refactored as well on the server. Now the code is much more viable for all the things we want to implement. As for the upcoming weeks we want to focus on having items and finish having buffs. Having items will take some time because there are many aspects to this but is alot of fun to develop. For example an item must be able to be on the ground, in your inventory or equiped. The items need to be loaded and saved and be able to dragged and given to other players. Some items also have special effect, for example Fresh Breeze. At the moment we are not sure how far we want to push the whole item system before the Alpha, but for the Beta this is something that needs to work completely.

Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone who joined, shared, liked the Redmoon2 community! The support and input strengthen our motivation to make this a great game!
